What Developer Tools does

  • Base64 encode / decode — text or file, URL-safe and hex
  • URL encode / decode and a full URL parser
  • UUID v4 and v7, plus random strings
  • SHA-1 / SHA-256 / SHA-512 and HMAC hashes
  • Cryptographically strong password generator
  • Lorem ipsum, slugify, text diff & word/character counter
  • Deep-linkable sub-tools (e.g. /devtools#uuid)

How to use it

Common questions

How many tools are included and what are they?
Thirteen everyday utilities: Base64 (text or file), URL encode/parse, UUID v4 and v7, random strings, Unix timestamps, SHA and HMAC hashes, strong passwords, Lorem ipsum, slugify, text diff and word counts.
Is my input saved or sent anywhere?
No. All processing is local to your browser. Each sub-tool is deep-linkable (for example /devtools#uuid) but nothing is stored or transmitted.
How are the passwords generated?
With the browser's cryptographic random source, so they are strong and reproducible only if you keep the settings.
